Weather expert Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather also chimed in on the sunny forecast, stating that there are fine days ahead for the rest of the week, with the weekend looking "nice and settled" with "good sunshine too."

Met Éireann has indicated that Friday is to be dry and sunny. with temperatures of up to 21C, while Saturday and Sunday will bring two good days of sunshine topping out at 22C, as people look to make the use of both the beach and their barbecues.
On next week, they said: "Early indications are that high pressure will continue to dominate for the early days of next week, keeping conditions generally dry and settled."
