One casualty as Midlothian crash between car and motorbike shuts main road

Emergency services have rushed to a crash in Midlothian with the road blocked off.

Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and the Scottish Ambulance Service raced to the A768, Melville Dykes Road in Lasswade following a crash between a car and a motorbike.

The SFRS has reported there is one casualty as officers closed the road as emergency services attend.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.40am on Friday, 2 June, police were called to a report of a road crash involving a car and a motorbike on Melville Dykes Road, Lasswade.

"Officers are at the scene and the road is currently closed."

A spokesperson for SFRS said: "We were called out at 10.39am on Friday June 2. Three fire appliances attended Melville Dykes Road in Lasswade following a report between a crash between a car and a motorbike. SFRS are still at the scene. There is one casualty."
