On Stefon Diggs Day, the Bills star revealed he pulled the strings to bring Von Miller to Buffalo

Stefon Diggs has never been a stranger to the limelight.

Since Diggs entered the NFL in 2015, the All-Pro has always made it a point to step up in the clutch with flash. One of the most famous plays in recent memory — the Minneapolis Miracle — is not nearly as iconic if not for Diggs crossing his arms while standing in the end zone.

But with the Bills and Josh Allen on the precipice of a Super Bowl, they needed more help off the field. A little extra something. Perhaps a superstar pass rusher like, I don’t know, Von Miller?

After signing a mega-contract extension earlier in the week, the Bills held a special (unofficial) Stefon Diggs Day for their franchise playmaker. It was during the party that Diggs dropped an eye-opening nugget:

He was the puppeteer behind the scenes who brought the big fish Miller to Western New York.

Good for Diggs! Brandon Beane is one of the best GMs in the business, but sometimes you need a little X-Factor to finish a deal. Or to even get one in the works. I don’t know the precise extent to which Diggs played in getting Miller to don a blue and red buffalo on his helmet for the foreseeable future, but I am confident that he was pretty convincing.

On paper, Diggs going the Extra Mile should pay off for these juggernaut Bills. According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Bills are the runaway favorite to win Super Bowl 57 next February (+650 odds). I say “runaway” specifically because, in a stacked AFC, the next closest team in the conference is the Chiefs (+900).

Suffice to say; it would be a massive disappointment if this new (or old?) Diggs-Miller friendship doesn’t pay off with another Lombardi Trophy.

As for Diggs and his contract extension party? It looks like it was a massive hit.
