Workers at a business park in Omagh have been evacuated from their premises after a ‘suspicious object’ was found on Friday morning.
The Bankmore Road in the Co Tyrone town just off the A5 Doogary Road remains closed as technical officers attend the scene.
The Bankmore Business Park hosts several businesses just outside the town, most of which have been forced to close on Friday as a result of the security alert.

A police spokesperson said the road was closed and advised that diversions were in place in the area.
“Police are advising that the Bankmore Road, Omagh is currently closed due to the discovery of a suspicious object in the area,” the police spokesperson said.
“Local diversions are in place and access is still available to the meat factory.”
In an earlier update PSNI said Bankmore Road and Bankmore Way will be closed ‘for some time’.
Fane Valley have said their Bankmore Road store has had to shut as a result of the security alert. “Due to a security alert on the Bankmore road, Omagh we have had to temporarily close our Omagh store,” the company said in a social media post.
Meanwhile, staff at the nearby Power NI offices were told they had to leave their desks and work from home on Friday due to the alert.
