With their MacRory Cup success now parked, Omagh CBS turn their attention to the Masita All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Hogan Cup.
The Tyrone side last won the All-Ireland Championship back in 2007 - which was also the year of their last MacRory Cup success before their win over Holy Trinity earlier this month.
Omagh had lost four MacRory Cup finals since 2007, but they were full value for their 0-16 to 1-6 win over Cookstown at O’Neills Healy Park.
They recovered from the concession of an early goal from Holy Trinity’s Liam Lawn to dominate the remainder of the game with Eoin McElholm, Cormac Watson, Ruairí McCullagh, Callum Daly and Tomás Haigney all impressing.
Manager Diarmuid McNulty played in the 2007 MacRory and Hogan Cup winning Omagh CBS team and he’ll be hoping to guide his charges past the defending Hogan Cup champions Naas CBS this weekend.
