A slogan has been confirmed for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics as organisers mark eight years to go: "Shine Brightest, Together".

But 2032 board director and ex-sprint star Patrick Johnson says lessons learned from the next two summer Olympics will earn Brisbane another tagline: "best Games ever".

Organisers launched the countdown to 2032 in Brisbane on Tuesday, officially marking eight years to go.

Their focus quickly shifted to Paris where their Brisbane colleagues have arrived ahead of the 2024 Games.

Brisbane 2032 boss Andrew Liveris will deliver a progress report to the International Olympic Committee in Paris.

A Brisbane Olympic contingent have also launched a fact-finding mission, with another planned for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Two-time Olympian Johnson believed they would be crucial to Brisbane exceeding all expectations in eight years.

"At Paris, LA we have got some real lessons to learn. We are going to deliver the best Games ever in Olympic history," he told AAP.

Plenty of work lies ahead before Brisbane 2032 challenges for the ambitious title.

They have a slogan but work is still underway on creating a brand to promote the Queensland capital globally.

"It's a challenge but we are confident," Brisbane board director Brett Clark said.

Brisbane's brand design was "pretty much set" and being tested in the market.

In the meantime, Brisbane organisers have billboards and even their own cafe in Paris during the 2024 Games to boost their profile.

Organisers are also hopeful their eight year countdown will turn heads.

They have launched a social media campaign, with people urged to record the patriotic "Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!" chant and upload it with the hashtag #brisbane2032.

Mr Liveris said it would provide a timely boost for Australian athletes in Paris - and hopefully Brisbane 2032.

He believed the nationwide cheer would not only mark Brisbane's eight year milestone but also "act as a worldwide invitation" ahead of 2032.

"Now is the time to raise our voice as one and let everyone know that Brisbane, Queensland and Australia are getting ready to host the world's biggest sporting event in 2032," he said in a statement.

While the nationwide cheer is set to ignite passions, Johnson believes "cool heads will prevail" over Brisbane 2032's venue plan.

The Queensland government has been criticised for disregarding an independent review's recommendations and instead opting to upgrade ageing facilities.

However, those plans may be shelved with a potential change of government at October's state election.

The opposition has promised to undertake its own 100-day Brisbane infrastructure review if it wins, potentially delaying 2032 plans.

Johnson said a Games to remember would be delivered regardless.

"Cool heads will prevail. I know we will be part of something that is unique and special," he said.
