Olympiacos are interested in taking Nottingham Forest striker Sam Surridge from the club in the January transfer window, according to reports in Greece.
The striker’s future at the City Ground looks uncertain with a number of clubs said to be interested in the player during the January transfer window. Championship side Sunderland are the latest to be linked with an interest.
Surridge is said to be one of a number of players Forest are willing to let leave the club in January in order to free up spaces for any new additions made in the window. Steve Cooper is keen to add to his squad to help in the fight for Premier League survival at the end of the season.

According to journalist Konstantinos Lianos, reports in Greece now claim that Greek club Olympiacos, which is also owned by Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, are keen on Surridge. It is said that the club are keen to add to their attack as they make a late push for the title at the end of the season.
Surridge is not the only Forest player they are said to be eyeing, with midfielder Harry Toffolo reportedly the subject of interest from the Reds’ sister club. The former Huddersfield man has made just nine appearances in the Premier League so far this season and was an unused substitute for the 1-1 draw against Chelsea on New Year’s Day.
It’s a similar story for Surridge who has started just one game in the Premier League this campaign. He made an eight minute cameo in the game against Chelsea.
Should a January deal go through, it’s one of a few transfer dealings between Forest and Olympiacos. Summer signing Josh Bowler has spent the first half of the season with the Greek club, but looks set to return in January in order to link back up with former club Blackpool until the end of the campaign.
