One picture had him on crutches as he stood next to the hospital bed.
Fans flocked to the comment section to wish him a speedy recovery.
"Speedy Recovery Olly," one user said while Chunkz posted: "Get well soon ma brother, health comes first!"
James Bay added: "Get rested lad, all the best!"
"Ahh man I feel your pain, you must be gutted! Was looking forward to you hitting up wales. But atleast when you are back on the road it’ll be with a top class knee, not that dodgy old one. enjoy looking like stone cold Steve Austin, rest up buddy, let me know when you want to jump on fortnite lol," another concerned user said.
His emergency surgery comes half a year after he had an accident on stage which had a fragment of bone lodging itself in the back of his knee.
At the time, he took to his Instagram to explain the situation to fans.

"Basically, after my second song, a fragment of bone that was in my knee managed - after I jumped - to lodge itself on the back of my knee, which basically shut my leg down," he said from the hospital.
"During the gig I was just limping the whole time, I couldn't believe it. So, basically I'm in, I've had the surgery."
He went on to say that he had wanted to get the surgery done because he had an a gig to perform at.
"It will be a different gig, I probably won't be running around like I normally do," he said. "There might be a stool for me to sit down on but I can't cancel these gigs."
Olly continued: "It's been a mad 72 hours because I thought the worst, I thought that I might have done my knee again. I thought I ruptured my ACL, to be honest."
He went on to apologise for "looking like a bag of s***" but said that he just wanted to send a message to let everyone know what was going on.
