A cocktail bar on a Cardiff industrial estate has announced that it will be closing after opening last year. Ollie's Bar, based off Paper Mill Road in Canton, opened its doors in July last year.
The small café, cocktail and wine bar, is set down the side of a building which was previously the home of a company that produced large scale models for the likes of the Rolling Stones, Wallace and Gromit and Louis Vuitton. But a recent post from the bar's Instagram account has announced that it will be closing at the end of June.
The post read: "Hello all you amazing people, it is with a heavy heart that we have had to make the difficult decision, that Ollie’s will be closing at the end of June (Thursday, June 30th). We haven’t taken this decision lightly, but is a decision unfortunately we had to make.

"There are so many people we would like to thank for their love and support of Ollie’s, our wonderful guests, friends, family, neighbors [sic] and more (we will thank you all in more detail towards the end of the month).
"We hope Ollies has been a wonderful experience for you all and we would love to see you before the 30th, and we will be open our last week from 1:00 - 11:00pm Monday to Wednesday (27th-29th) and 1:00 - Late on Thursday (30th)."
The bar was set up by Ollie Banks from Penylan who’s worked in the hospitality industry for 12 years both as a chef and front of house. He transformed the original site over the course of five-and-a-half months into the bar and café.
