Olivia Wilde slams 'horse s***' rumour she dumped Jason Sudeikis for Harry Styles

Olivia Wilde has furiously branded the idea she left her ex for Harry Styles "horse s**t".

The Don't Worry Darling director, 38, slammed claims that she broke things off with Jason Sudeikis to get with the singer, saying her relationship hit a "very bumpy road".

She confirmed she "dissolved" her relationship "towards the beginning of the pandemic" and were "raising two kids in lockdown".

"The complete horse s**t idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate," she told Vanity Fair. "Our relationship was over long before I met Harry."

She added: "Like any relationship that ends, it doesn't end overnight. Unfortunately, Jason and I had a very bumpy road, and we officially dissolved the relationship towards the beginning of the pandemic."

"We were raising two kids during lockdown, so we co-parented through that time. Once it became clear that cohabitating was no longer beneficial for the children, it became the responsible thing to not, because we could be better parents as friends who live in different house," she said.

She hit back at people "hurling horrendous insults" at her and her family, with some even calling her a "terrible mother".

"I'm f****ing tough," she added. "Like, the whole world saw me get served [custody] papers. I've had women judging me for separating from Jason.

"There are people who feel entitled to hurl horrendous insults at me and my family. Telling me I'm a terrible mother. Threatening me and my kids or saying I should lose my children.

"When they are with their father, I trust him to be a great parent. So, when they're not with me, I continue to live my life. But the judgement I've seen from people for living my life."

It comes after a very rocky Don't Worry Darling premiere. Rumours have been rife about tension surrounding the new movie release, starring Harry Styles.

From ‘spit gate’ to row rumours, Don’t Worry Darling certainly had a woeful week – and now Florence Pugh appears to be fuelling the drama even further.

She kicked off things after originally telling her team that she couldn’t attend the film’s first press conference – but was then later spotted sipping cocktails in Venice.

She then took to Instagram to share a series of gushing posts about her time in the Italian city – seemingly dodging any mention of Olivia, the film's director, or the movie itself.
