Olivia Rodrigo gives gorgeous performance of Sinead O'Connor hit at Dublin gig

American popstar Olivia Rodrigo delighted unsuspecting concert goers last night with a surprise rendition of Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U.

The 19 year old Good 4 U hitmaker played Fairview Park in Dublin last night as part of her Sour Tour. The songstress performed some of her biggest hits including Driver's Licence and Deja Vu, but surprised fans when she started to belt the Sinead O'Connor classic.

Nothing Compares 2 U was released by Sinead O'Connor in 1990, launching the now beloved Irish singer to international stardom. It was originally penned by music legend Prince. Fans inside the venue as well as surrounding it were thrilled when Olivia began singing the iconic tune.

One Twitter user wrote: "Just heard Olivia Rodrigo's cover of Nothing Compares To You from my Fairview apartment and I have such severe jealousy of everyone at that concert right now."

The star, who rose to fame with her roles in Disney shows Bizaardvark and High School Musical: The Series, played at Cork's Marquee On Wednesday night, a gig that was praised by fans as energetic and thrilling.

Olivia was snapped by an adoring fan enjoying a Gino's Gelato while in Cork. Aoibh Carroll posted to her TikTok account: "Guys, I just full on met Oliva Rodrigo. I mean, what is going on? In Cork."
