Olivia Pratt-Korbel's dad issues plea to anyone who knows killer's identity

The dad of Olivia Pratt-Korbel's has issued a stark message to the murderer of his nine-year-old daughter.

John Francis Pratt and his wider family have released the statement as the hunt for his daughter's killer continues. In the statement, released by himself and his wider family, he said Olivia's death "cannot be in vein" as people should "feel safe and be safe".

He said: "We don’t want another child to lose their life in such horrendous circumstances and we don’t want to see another family suffer like we are suffering now.

"Olivia’s death cannot be in vain and we want people to feel safe and be safe, that can only happen if we all come together and make sure there is no place for guns, or those who use guns on our streets or in our communities. If you have information make sure you tell the police and if you don’t feel able to do that give the information to Crimestoppers anonymously so action can be taken.

"If you can’t do it for yourself, do it in Olivia’s name and for children across Merseyside who deserve to enjoy their lives to the full."

Merseyside Police have arrested four men in the last 48 hours in connection with the murder of nine-year-old schoolgirl Olivia Pratt-Korbel. Police have now been granted a further extension of 36 hours to continue questioning three of the men.

Those being questioned are a 34-year-old man, from Runcorn, who was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and a 41-year-old man from Knowsley and a 29-year-old man, who have both been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

A fourth man who was arrested on Sunday night is still being interviewed by detectives as of last night.
