Olivia Bowen has opened up about triggering the birth of her baby in candid social media post.
The reality star - who welcomed adorable boy Abel Jacob with husband Alex on June 12 - has gone into detail about their son's challenging birth
The Love Island star, 28, has now shared some details about the child's arrival.
She asked fans to fire some questions at her on Instagram last night.
One asked 'did you have an episiotomy' - defined as an incision made in the perineum, the tissue between the vaginal opening and the anus - during childbirth.
She didn't shirk the post and let her followers in on what happened.
Olivia wrote: "After everything else, I ended up having an episiotomy with my forcep delivery in the theatre.
"It wasn't how I imagined, but we were so grateful he was just out safely. I'll go into detail soon."
She earlier responded to a person who asked how the birth was.
Olivia said: "I worry about sharing a birth story which is maybe a little daunting."
On Sunday, the reality star paid tribute to hubby Alex with a Father’s Day message.
She penned: "Happy 1st ever Father’s Day to my favourite man, you are everything to me & are going to be everything to our favourite boy."
The couple - who met on Love Island in 2016 - have shared updates of parenthood on their Instagram accounts since they welcomed their boy.
On Friday, she wrote: "Today was very emotional! The hormones are EVERYWHERE. I think I've cried about 30 times, that's no exaggeration." She included a laughing emoji at the end.
She continued in the post by revealing that they have a newborn shoot which she's "excited" about it, so they "will not be moving" for the next few days.
"I can't believe how hot it is too. Although we do have air con in our bedroom I feel so guilty not making the most of the sunshine but it's cosy here," she further commented.
Olivia announced last week that Abel had been born on June 10, with her describing him as her "everything." Her husband Alex said their lives have "changed for the better."
She had written: "Abel Jacob Bowen. You are everything. 10/06/22." Alex had told fans: "Abel Jacob Bowen, but you can call him AJ.... the day our lives changed for the better."
