Olivia Attwood blew thousands on gruelling I'm A Celeb cosmetic work - before quitting

Olivia Attwood shared her gruelling beauty regime - that set her back thousands - before going on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! – only to quit after 24 hours.

The Love Island star splashed the cash on a number of procedures including semi-permanent make-up to make sure she was looking her very best for weeks on end in the jungle.

As part of her overhaul, Olivia had pink lipstick tattooed to her lips and a tint and lamination treatment on her eyebrows.

She also revealed she had Botox injections, a facial and a manicure to cut her usually long nails short so she could use her hands in camp.

And she had three inches cut off her long blonde hair to make it more manageable in the jungle shower and after trials.

Make-up and other beauty products are strictly banned in the jungle unless they come in as a luxury item.

But it looks like all that money went to waste as Olivia was forced to leave the show on medical grounds after just 24 hours.

Although it is reported she will get her full fee - thought to be £100,000 to £125,000 - despite spending only a few hours in camp.

A spokesman for the ITV reality show told The Mirror: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.

"Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation.

"She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show.”

Speaking before she went in the 31-year-old openly spoke about the work she’d had done before heading Down Under.

She said: "So, I did eyebrows, tint and lamination, my lip blush tattooed so it looks like I’ve got a bit of lippy on it’s gone a bit too red in the sun but that’s fine, better than nothing, and I did Botox and a facial and that’s it.

"Oh and I cut three inches off my hair, it’s not short, just to make it a bit more manageable.

“I cut down my nails to short and square, which is not my normal go to, it feels strange but just so I can actually use my hands instead of breaking a nail.

"I’m hoping this is going to be one of those experiences that make you realise that all those things don’t really matter – but somehow, I don’t think that’s going to be the case. It’s weirdly exciting to strip back and go back to basics."

The reality TV star-turned-documentary maker shot to fame when she appeared on the third series of Love Island in 2017 and was known for regularly clashing with others in the villa.

She made history as the first Love Island contestant to ever be asked to appear on I’m A Celebrity.

Ahead of her debut in Australia, Olivia opened up about her diagnosis with ADHD and said the jungle may be a good environment for her.

She shared: "I’m hoping that the jungle will really suit me because the things that over stimulates my ADHD is too much blue light, phone, laptops, TV, caffeine, alcohol, too much sugar, all that stuff in our daily lives makes me a bit wild.

“Whereas there’s none of that in the jungle. I love nature and animals so I’m hoping it will have a nice effect on me."

The star also vowed she is a changed woman since appearing on Love Island when reflecting on her time on the reality show.

Olivia told The Mirror: "Hindsight and growing up is a great thing. The person I was when I went into Love Island… she was very angry.”

“I was a pretty lost person before I entered Love Island, I didn’t know what I was doing with my life, I didn’t like boys, I was scorned by all the horrible ex-boyfriends I had so I took a lot of baggage in there with me, I was hot headed.

"I was doing a lot of screaming and shouting but now I’m in a happier place. I don’t feel the need to drop bombs for the sake of it. In my normal life I don’t argue with people ever."
