Here is another example of a full-circle moment. Oliver Wahlstrom is now a member of the Boston Bruins. He is a former first-round pick of the New York Islanders whose career has not met expectations. He gets a chance to play in a familiar place.
Wahlstrom, 24, was born in Maine and played one season at Boston College before starting his NHL career in 2018. That was not his first experience in Boston.
In a video that went viral when Wahlstrom was nine years old, hockey fans were introduced to him as he skated on TD Garden Ice.

Bruins interim head coach Joe Sacco is familiar with Wahlstrom’s game because he played for a divisional rival. Sacco said, “But the one thing that sticks to my mind is good shot. A guy that can probably score some goals and pretty good in the elbow or the bumper on the power play because of that right-handed shot that he has.”
Sacco mentioned that he could play on the third line and second power play unit but does not want to get ahead of himself because he was not sure when Wahlstrom would join the team.
