Oliver McBurnie is in the midst of a fight for promotion - but he can spare time for a few laughs along the way.
The Sheffield United striker has played a key role for Paul Heckingbottom's side this season, scoring 13 times as they close in on a return to the Premier League from the English Championship. He was used regularly in Steve Clarke's early reign as Scotland boss but has faded out of the picture in recent squads, having tapped into the family bloodline to make him eligible to wear the famous dark blue.
But it's another team in blue that he has affinity for at club level, Rangers, and they form two things that teammate John Egan used for when describing McBurnie as a person. The pair were playing of 'Who are Ya' with SkyBet where one has to describe a Sheffield United player on the back of the card their opposite number was holding, and Egan had to describe McBurnie to the man himself.
Egan started by saying 'loves Rangers' and the striker's initial guess was John Fleck, but the 'thinks he is Scottish' clue lead him to the realisation it was him alongside a wry smile.
It was reported in 2021 that McBurnie was a potential target for the Ibrox side in Steven Gerrard's reign as manager. His contract at The Blades comes to a close in the summer.
