Oleksandr Usyk will defend his IBF, IBO, WBO, and WBA heavyweight titles against Daniel Dubois, a British boxer, on August 26 at the Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw, Poland.
This announcement was made by Usyk himself on Thursday. Initially, there were negotiations for a unification fight between Usyk and WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, but they fell through in March.
Dubois, 25 years old, holds the WBA (Regular) heavyweight belt and is the mandatory challenger, while 36-year-old Usyk is the WBA (Super) champion.
Usyk boasts an undefeated record in his 20 professional fights, including 13 knockouts. On the other hand, Dubois has won 19 out of his 20 bouts, with one loss.
