United exploring plans to redevelop Old Trafford
All options are open as United look to redevelop Old Trafford. The club remain in talks with planners over potential development plans, with ideas on the table including a rather controversial plan to completely rebuild the ground on the current site.
United are yet to appoint a preferred partner to carry out the work, with planners still competing for the contract. A variety of schemes have been offered, including a complete rebuild.

The club have been listening to a range of ideas, with chief operating officer Collette Roche suggesting plans could move forward soon. "We are hoping to appoint our preferred partners in the coming weeks; following this, we will be able to formally kick-off Phase 1 of the project, which will be focused on establishing the vision and objectives for the Masterplan," Roche said at the recent fans’ forum.
Diego Simeone makes prediction ahead of Champions League tie
United will be aiming to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League this evening as Atletico Madrid visit Old Trafford. The tie is evenly poised following the first leg, with Anthony Elanga’s goal having earned the Reds a 1-1 draw at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Atletico were perhaps unlucky not to have claimed more, having dominated the first half in Spain, only to go into the break 1-0 up. They’ve been in fine form though since that first leg, having won three successive La Liga games.
And Atletico boss Diego Simeone believes his side are equipped to hurt United on the break in the second leg. With no away goals rule this season in Europe, the Argentine is expecting a classic tie.
