But if you still have some old consoles lying around in storage, it's time to dust them back off as they could be worth a fortune. Whether they date back to the 80s or early 2000's, some of them could fill your pockets up to £6,000 richer.

To do so, experts collated a seed list of the most popular, classic games consoles and using an established UK ecommerce site, the study revealed the most valuable console.
Sitting comfortably in the top spot at number one is the Pokemon Limited Edition Game Boy Color Nintendo VGA 90. If you have one of these lying around, you could sell it for a staggering £6,000. This console came out in 1996 and is now worth up to nearly 60 times it's original price.
Coming in at number two is the popular and very well-loved Original Sony Playstation 1, released in 1995. This classical piece has ben seen selling for up to £5,000, so time to dust off that storage unit.
Released in 1985 was an 8-bit third-generation home video game console produced by Nintendo. This golden oldie, the Nintendo Entertainment System, is selling for up to £4,572 - With the RRP being £300, you can make up to 15x the original amount paid.
In fourth place is the Original Nintendo 64, released back in 199 and loved by the whole family. This has been selling for a large £3,674.
Not far behind, in fifth place is the limited-edition yellow-and-blue Pikachu Nintendo 64 Set N64 console, featuring a raised-relief Pikachu on top, selling for £3,600. Definitely more than the original RRP.
Other once-popular gaming consoles that have been seen selling for over £1,000 include the Nintendo 64DD, the Sega Genesis Original, the Vintage 1985 Nintendo NES Delux ROB Robot, the Sega Dreamcast Code Veronica Biohazard and the Sega Dreamcast Godzilla Vmu SEGA.
Although not worth quite as much, but could still land your pockets with a profit is the Nintendo Game and Watch EGG EG-26 Original, the Atari Cosmos, the Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP NED Edition, the Nintendo Gameboy Classic and the Pokemon/Pikachu Gameboy Micro Limited Edition.
