Oklahoma’s softball players busted a move with the ‘Boomer Boogie’ after winning second straight NCAA title

After Oklahoma beat Texas 10-5 in Game 2 of the Women’s College World Series Finals for their second-straight NCAA title, the Sooners can lay a claim on being this year’s best team from wire to wire.

Led by Jocelyn Alo, Oklahoma won 59 games in the regular season — losing just twice. In the NCAA tournament, they lost just once, and only because UCLA’s Maya Brady decided she would take over a game. So when they finally faced unseeded, archrival Texas in the Finals, it sure seemed like their eventual victory would be a formality. Our intuition quite obviously proved to be correct.

During the post-game, post-title celebration, the Sooners danced a “Boomer Boogie” and showed they’re not only champions on the field but on the dance floor, too:

Look at that choreography. Look at how seamlessly everyone gets into sync while having one of their most joyous moments as a team.

That is precisely how a two-time defending national champion should dance.
