The Red River Rivalry is one of the fiercest in college sports, as Oklahoma and Texas have hated each other for over 100 years. That level of hatred, however, doesn’t stop at the football field or basketball court.
One Oklahoma fan stopped by a petting zoo to take a picture with a longhorn, but when she went to give a “horns down” with her hands, the longhorn would not allow that action and instead bumped the fan with his horn.
The result was a perfect encapsulation of the Oklahoma-Texas rivalry.

In the most recent iteration of the rivalry, Oklahoma came away victorious in a thrilling 27-24 game. That win marked Oklahoma’s fifth in the last six vs. Texas, along with seven of the last nine and 11 of the past 15.
So, it is fair to say that Sooner fans are confident in their team’s ability to beat its longtime rivals. That doesn’t mean there won’t be pushback, though, as this one fan found out.
