With the regular season officially over, the Oklahoma City Thunder will play the New Orleans Pelicans in the Play-In tournament.
The Thunder’s Play-In opponent was known following the result of Sunday’s game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Pelicans, where the latter lost, 113-108.
The 10th-seeded Thunder (40-42) will travel to the 9th-seeded Pelicans (42-40) to play on Wednesday, April 12 on ESPN at 8:30 p.m. CT.
If the Thunder win, they will advance to play the loser of the No. 7 vs. No. 8 matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Timberwolves on Friday, April 14 for the eighth seed.
If the Thunder manages to go 2-0 in the Play-In, they will be the eighth seed and face the Denver Nuggets in a first-round series.
The Thunder went 1-3 against the Pelicans in four regular season matchups this year. All four games were decided by four points or less.
