The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Sunday that they have recalled Isaiah Roby from its G League affiliate — the Oklahoma City Blue. Roby has played in seven games for the Blue this season, where he has averaged 13.6 points, eight rebounds and 2.7 blocks. In 18 games for the Thunder this season, Roby has averaged 6.7 points and 3.3 rebounds.
The Thunder have used the Blue liberally this season as it gives guys on the bottom of the roster a chance to play meaningful minutes on a team that runs the same systems. This call-up concludes Roby’s fifth assignment to the Blue this season.
This is Roby’s third season with the Thunder. Last season saw Roby play most of his NBA minutes as he averaged 8.7 points and 5.6 rebounds in 61 games.
