The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Sunday night that they have assigned rookie forward Jaylin Williams to the G League’s Oklahoma City Blue.
The Blue are scheduled to play an afternoon game on Monday against the Los Angeles Lakers G League affiliate South Bay Lakers. The Thunder are also scheduled to play later that night against the New York Knicks. Both games will be played at Paycom Center.
In all likelihood, Williams will play heavy minutes in the Blue game and could get called back up to the Thunder to be active against the Knicks.
In five games with the Thunder, Williams is averaging 2.8 points and two rebounds. In three games with the Blue, Williams is averaging 11.3 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
