To cap the weirdly organized Seattle Pro-Am that took forever to tip off and ended prematurely due to unsafe court conditions, Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Chet Holmgren appeared to have tweaked his ankle.
On a LeBron James drive to the basket, Holmgren went to contest the shot by staying in front and landed awkwardly. Holmgren proceeded to immediately hobble around a bit before checking out.
The game was called off soon after the injury, and Holmgren did not return. There are no updates on Holmgren, but from the looks of it, it looks like an average ankle twist.
With training camp still over a month away, there’s plenty of time for Holmgren to recover from a sprained ankle, so there’s nothing too much to worry about.
This was the second time Holmgren appeared in Jamal Crawford’s Seattle Pro-Am, the first time came in late July.
The full injury can be seen below:
Chet did really a good job at absorbing the contact, staying in front of Bron & forcing the tough lay-up attempt.
not so bad for a 19 year old. sucks that he tweaked his ankle. pic.twitter.com/G7ERbrG7r5
