OHL roundup: Bulldogs win seventh straight

HAMILTON, Ont. - The Hamilton Bulldogs beat their Barrie counterparts to extend their winning streak to seven straight.

Avery Hayes had a hat-trick in the winning effort for the Bulldogs (24-10-2-2).

Nathan Allenson netted the consolation goal for Barrie (20-13-4-0) in the final frame.

BATTALION 4, STEELHEADS 2

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - North Bay won their sixth straight game in large thanks to Brandon Coe.

Coe had a goal an assist for the Battalion (24-15-3-3) in their win over Mississauga (28-10-1-4).

STING 3, GREYHOUNDS 0

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Nolan Dann netted twice as the Sarnia Sting blanked the Soo Greyhounds on Friday.

Winger Ty Voit had two assists for the Sting (15-17-3-1).

Tucker Tynan stopped 22 of 25 shots for the Greyhounds (24-13-4-1).

GENERALS 4, 67'S 3

OTTAWA, Ont. - The Oshawa Generals outlast the Ottawa 67's to win 4-3 in a shootout.

Thomas and Alex Johnston scored in the third for the 67's (20-20-1-2) to carry them to overtime.

Stuart Rolofs had a goal and an assist in the win for the Generals (21-16-1-2).

ICEDOGS 4, WOLVES 3

SUDBURY, Ont. - The Niagara IceDogs needed a shootout winner to edge the Sudbury Wolves on Friday night.

Niagara (10-25-2-1) came from behind to force the shootout.

The Wolves (13-24-3-1) had three different scorers in the losing effort.

FIREBIRDS 5, STORM 4

GUELPH, Ont. - Coulson Pitre bagged an overtime winner as the Flint Firebirds outlasted the Guelph Storm.

Jacob Oster stopped 35 of 40 shots for Guelph (20-15-2-1) while defenceman Jacob Petrovski finished with a goal and an assist for Flint (25-14-0-2).

RANGERS 6, KNIGHTS 4

KITCHENER, Ont. - The Rangers found a winner with just under three minutes in regulation to edge past the Knights on Friday night.

Reid Valade had two goals in the win for Kitchener (16-19-2-1).

Cody Morgan netted two goals for London (25-10-1-0).
