The Ohio State women’s basketball team found out who it will play in the BigTen/ACC challenge this coming season … and it’s a marquee matchup. The Buckeyes will face the Louisville Cardinals on November 30 at the KFC Yum! Center in downtown Louisville.
The Cardinals will be an early-season test for the women’s team. While OSU made it to the round of 16 and nearly upset the Texas Longhorns, Lousiville made it all the way to the Final Four before bowing out to eventual champ South Carolina.
The perennial powerhouse Cardinals should have another loaded team and will come into the season as one of the favorites to cut down the nets in March.

Ohio State has a solid core returning from last season’s regular-season championship team. The Buckeyes also added several key transfers, including central Ohio native, Emma Shumate, who began her career at West Virginia.
Head Coach Kevin McGuff will look to build on last season and prove the Sweet 16 run was no fluke.
