The Ohio State women’s basketball team is off to a good start in a second-round NCAA Tournament contest vs. the North Carolina Tar Heels in Columbus. The Buckeyes have led from start to finish and are up 33-28 at halftime.
OSU’s lead was because of hot starts to start both quarters. Ohio State started the game by scoring the first eight points of the contest before UNC closed the gap to two at the end of the first quarter. The Buckeyes went up by eight points again to start the second quarter before Carolina once again made a min-run to end the half, and it looks like it’ll be a tight one throughout.
Buy Buckeyes TicketsTaylor Mikesell led Ohio State in scoring after the first half with nine points thanks to a trio of three-pointers on 3-of-7 from the field. Cotie McMahon and Jacy Sheldon have seven points each as well.
Both teams have had an awful time taking care of the basketball. Ohio State has 12 turnovers to North Carolina’s 11. The team that can settle things down in the second half might walk away with the victory in this one.

The Buckeyes have shot the ball better from the field, but you can expect the Tar Heels to shoot it a little better than the 37.9% it shot through the first twenty minutes.
Hold on because this one has the makings of a white knuckler based on what we’ve seen through the first half.
