Ohio State wide receiver confirmed 100% healthy

No one is questioning the talent that Ohio State has at the receiver position with Emeka Egbuka, Carnell Tate, and freshman phenom, Jeremiah Smith likely to start, but the depth behind them is suspect. Every receiver on the three-deep was highly recruited, but there is simply not a ton of experience. Even though most fans feel comfortable with Smith and Tate, the reality is that there are only 18 collegiate receptions between the two and they all come from Tate.

This leads us to Brandon Innis. The former four-star receiver had only one reception last season, but it was for a 58-yard touchdown. The Florida product is expected to be a key contributor at receiver and it was devastating when he was diagnosed with a hairline fracture on his right foot during the early portion of spring practices, which resulted in him missing the remainder of spring.

Despite rumors of this injury lingering into the season, Innis has confirmed that he is 100% healthy and competing in summer workouts. This is a huge boost for a positional group that is big on potential, but lacking experience.
