Ohio State is back home to host a reeling Indiana team Saturday and it looks like we might get our first wintry-type feel inside the ‘Shoe. Cold weather or not, the Buckeyes are supposed to handle the Hoosiers rather easily, but we’ve seen things like this turn into a dogfight, much like what we saw in Evanston last week at Northwestern.
The oddsmakers have this one being a blowout, as does much of the national media, but we like to throw it out to our writers to see what they say about the game. Phil, Mark, and Josh provide their predictions for every Ohio State football game in the fall, and they are using their crystal balls, magic eight balls, and virtual dart boards to figure this one out too.

The Prediction
I look for Ohio State to bounce back in this one and show that it can run the ball in some cold weather. Ryan Day won’t abandon the passing game, but look for OSU to try and do some damage on the ground and have success against an Indiana defense that’s had all kinds of issues in 2022. This one is about gaining confidence and getting back on track.

The Prediction
The Buckeyes have not played their best football in recent weeks and yet with the exception of famous Chicago wind gusts, Ohio State has still been rattling off 40-plus point games.
OSU shouldn’t be dealing with catastrophic conditions this week with temperatures expected to be in the 40s and the wind not exceeding 15 mph. That most likely spells trouble for Indiana.
The Buckeyes know how miserable the game conditions were in Evanston and they’ve no doubt heard about the national pundits questioning their toughness. Ohio State comes out angry and gets things back in sync.

Ohio State always seems to struggle against Indiana but has still won the last 27 meetings and I expect a blowout in 2022.
