It’s been a rough, emotional five weeks for the Ohio State football team. First came the meltdown in the second half against Michigan on Thanksgiving weekend, and now this. The Buckeyes had the defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs on the ropes in Atlanta and let them off the hook.
You have to give credit to the SEC champions, but anytime you have a 14-point lead three times in a game, you expect to nail it down.
Nevertheless, it was a valiant effort by an Ohio State team not many gave a chance to hang with Georgia. There are no moral victories, and we’re sure every player in the locker room afterward was devastated, but their head coach and quarterback met with the media to face the music.

Ohio State heads into the offseason, and it’ll be interesting to see who goes to the NFL, who stays, what happens with the transfer portal and name, image and likeness deals, and what the team looks like next season.
