Ohio State football had another dominant recruiting class and was a consensus top-five class in the country. Once again, the class features more than a few heavy hitters on the offensive side of the football, but one of the best commits may be on the defensive side of the ball in the instate homegrown, Aaron Scott.

The first thing you notice about Aaron Scott is his ideal size and length to play cornerback in the Big Ten and when you dive into his film, it is very clear he knows how to use that length and size advantage as well. Scott is a fairly technically advanced freshman with the knowledge and play style to see the field immediately.

It is really hard to pick apart Scott’s game, but if I am forced to nitpick, he was not the most dynamic weapon once he was able to bring in the interception, which leads me to believe he won’t be returning any punts or kicks in the future. One other trait that needs to be monitored is his speed. Scott did not appear to be blazing fast on film, but he is not slow by any means.
Expectations
Aaron Scott is ready to play for Ohio State right now. Scott is big enough and physical enough to get by on that alone. Scott has the potential to grow into an All-American caliber cornerback and should see the field sooner rather than later.
