The Arizona Cardinals have the No. 3 pick in the 2023 NFL draft and are not likely to select a quarterback because they have Kyler Murray signed long-term. However, one of the top quarterback prospects in the country has entered the draft and impacts the Cardinals and their draft strategy.
Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, an underclassman, announced he would enter the 2023 NFL draft.

Stroud’s entrance to the draft makes at least two quarterbacks, along with Alabama’s Bryce Young, who could be selected before the Cardinal make their selection with the third overall pick.
Stroud had 85 combined touchdown passes and only 12 interceptions for Ohio State over the last two seasons. He led the Buckeyes to the college football playoff.
His addition to the draft make it very likely the Cardinals could either select the best non-quarterback in the draft or potentially trade down to acquire more picks and still land a stud.
