Despite the chest-thumping and parades Michigan was ready to seemingly throw because of the success it has had during the 2024 recruiting cycle, the Wolverines have now been surpassed by Ohio State in the 2024 team recruiting rankings. And it’s across nearly all the recruiting services, not just one or two that we can cherry pick.
With the commitment of 4-star linebacker, Payton Pierce, out of Lucas, Texas, the Buckeyes now have ten commitments in the class and have vaulted all the way up to No. 2 according to the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings, one spot ahead of — ahem — Michigan, who has one more commitment, but a lower per-star rating.
Buy Buckeyes TicketsAnd Ohio State doesn’t look to be done either. The Buckeyes are still in the running for other blue-chip prospects that have them on pace to have one whale of a recruiting class.
So, upon further review, if you are keeping track, it doesn’t appear as though the Buckeyes are “falling apart” as claimed by former Michigan wide receiver Braylon Edwards.
Four-Star RB James Peoples (@James_peoples17) has HIGH EXPECTATIONS for the 2024 Ohio State Class:
“Booooom‼️I think this may be one of the most powerful recruiting classes in OSU history!”
