Ohio State opens as strong favorite over Notre Dame

Numerous sites posted betting lines on the Jan. 20 CFP National Championship Game between Ohio State and Notre Dame as soon as the Cotton Bowl was over.

Everyone agreed: The Buckeyes are solid favorites over the Fighting Irish.

Some lines opened at 7.5 and others at 9.5. Many had the Buckeyes as 8.5-point favorites.

The total — over/under — sat at 48.5 points for the game in Atlanta.
