The search for pass rushers is endless and for Ohio State, they are still looking for their first one of the 2024 recruiting class.
There is no doubt that defensive line coach Larry Johnson is going to find more than a few good ones who will suit up for the Scarlet and Gray. One of those targets is Maryland edge rusher Darien Mayo.
The 6-foot, 7-inch, 250-pound lineman released his top six remaining schools, with Ohio State making the cut. It’s a heavy Big Ten list, with four of the schools either in the conference or soon will be for the 17th ranked edge and 181st overall player according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Mayo has scheduled just two official visits at the moment, one of them being to Columbus early next month. After the trip, we will get a much better reading on where the talented pass rusher will end up. OSU must contend with Michigan, Clemson, South Carolina, USC, and Maryland as the other teams on Mayo’s list.
