It has been fairly quiet for Ohio State football and the transfer portal, but it seems to be heating up.
Although many expected the Buckeyes to go after a quarterback, it looks like the focus is on different areas (though you never know what’s going on behind the scenes), one being linebacker. Late Monday evening, there was chatter about Cal transfer linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr.
Today, there was more noise of a connection between the two parties, as On3 experts believes that Elarms-Orr will eventually commit to Ohio State. He was a tackling machine for the Golden Bears this past season, registering 87 takedowns while also recording a sack and an interception. Elarms-Orr was not recruited by the Buckeyes coming out of high school.

Positional versatility is the key with this recruitment, as Elarms-Orr could eventually have his hand in the dirt and rush the passer. He will visit Columbus this weekend according to this report by Eleven Warriors.

With Ohio State potentially losing both its starting defensive ends and at least one linebacker, adding Elarms-Orr would be a great addition.
