Ohio State football misses out on 5-star California offensive tackle

Ohio State Football was one of the final schools that 2024 California offensive tackle Brandon Baker was considering up to his commitment, but opted to verbal elsewhere.

The 6-foot, 5-inch, 285-pound No. 1 ranked tackle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, selected Texas over the Buckeyes, Florida State, Oregon, and Nebraska.

Unfortunately, it is another line recruit loss, one that seems all too familiar in the most recent cycles. Offensive line coach Justin Frye has helped recruit a solid group, but none of them have the pedigree that Baker would have brought to the room. The search for an elite offensive lineman continues.
