Ohio State Football was one of the final schools that 2024 California offensive tackle Brandon Baker was considering up to his commitment, but opted to verbal elsewhere.
The 6-foot, 5-inch, 285-pound No. 1 ranked tackle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, selected Texas over the Buckeyes, Florida State, Oregon, and Nebraska.

Offensive line coach Justin Frye has helped recruit a solid group, but none of them have the pedigree that Baker would have brought to the room. The search for an elite offensive lineman continues.
