Jeremiah Smith was and is the No. 1 recruit in all of college football coming into his first year at Ohio State. All eyes will be on the freshman receiver to see if he can live up to the hype, especially at a place like OSU that has produced so much talent at the wideout position. But Smith isn’t interested in hype … he’s just ready to play football.
Adam King of 10TV in Columbus caught up with Smith at a recent NIL event and asked the true freshman his thoughts on the expectations coming into the season. His response shows poise and maturity and will surely leave Buckeye fans feeling good about the future.
“I know the pressure all around me is very high right now. I don’t want to feed into that, I just want to play football, win games, and win a national championship” – Jeremiah Smith
Take a listen for yourself as Smith talks about the greats that have come before him and even how highly skilled the receiving room is currently.

How can you not like this kid? He knows he’s been blessed and he knows his time will come. And when that time does come… something tells me he’s going to make the most of it and exceed all the expectations.
