
We continue on with some off-the-field news that’s sure to hit hast and heavy now that Ohio State has taken care of business with its exhilarating College Football Playoff National Championship win over Notre Dame Monday night.
From transfer portal news, to recruiting efforts, to turning the page to next year, it’s now the offseason of news and player movement. One of those items we’re tracking is news that Buckeye cornerback, Calvin Simpson-Hunt is planning to enter the transfer portal according to multiple reports.
Simpson-Hunt was a four-star prospect when he committed to Ohio State out of Waxahachie, Texas, in the 2023 class. He was the No. 63 overall recruit and No. 8 cornerback in the 2023 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

With the talent on the roster for Ohio State in the secondary this year and into next year, Simpson-Hunt was never really able to get unburied on the depth chart and carve out a role with OSU. Now, he will be looking to further his career elsewhere with three seasons of eligibility remaining.
