The Ohio State football team is still progressing and improving and another freshman is the most recent to earn the right to remove their black stripe. Freshman cornerback, Ryan Turner, is a former four-star prospect who was an early enrollee and was finally able to remove the black stripe as the team was preparing for the Wisconsin Badgers this week.
Turner was a consensus top 50 cornerback in this class and joins his corner classmate Jyaire Brown as freshmen who have shed the black stripe. Brown earned the honor during fall camp. Freshman wide receiver Kojo Antwi earned the honor last week and this makes Turner the second player to lose their back stripe on Thursday, with Hero Kanu also receiving the honor.
