The Ohio State football team had an extremely veteran team this season, meaning the program will have to replace many in the two-deep depth chart during the offseason. There’s a lot of talent still in the cupboard, but the team will look far different than the one that just polished off one of the most impressive runs ever on the way to a College Football Playoff national championship.
Despite such a veteran group, there are a few players that still have NFL draft decisions to make as underclassmen, and one of those is cornerback Davison Igbinosun who announced his return to the Buckeyes for his senior season.
Igbinosun came to Ohio State from Ole Miss via the transfer portal during the 2022 offseason. He quickly showed a physical presence as a starter alongside Denzel Burke and Jordan Hancock. Both of them are seniors and will enter the NFL draft.
Getting Igbinosun back gives OSU another chess piece to utilize with experience, along with starting safety Caleb Downs. He’ll need to work on being too physical and drawing far too many penalties, but he has the ranginess and athleticism to project as a potential first round NFL draft pick with a little more polish next season.

Players had until this past Friday to enter their names into the NFL draft as underclassmen and Ohio State had just three players that fell into that category. Running back Quinshon Judkins declared for the draft, but Sonny Styles also made the decision to return to the banks of the Olentangy.
