The Ohio State basketball team is reeling after the latest loss in conference, this time 70 to 67 to a Minnesota team that came into the contest in the Schott with an 0-4 Big Ten record.
The Buckeyes looked unorganized, lost, and meager on both ends of the floor as the Golden Gophers were the more physical and hungry team throughout. Ohio State had but two leads in the game when it went ahead 2-0 to start the game, and then took a brief one-point lead in the second half.
Buy Buckeyes TicketsBice Sensabaugh, who had been OSU’s best player, struggled with the physical play of Minnesota early on. He finished up with 18 points but went just 6-of-18 from the floor.
Despite the poor showing, the Buckeyes made things interesting at the tail end of the game and even found a way to tie things up at 67 points a piece before a very questionable foul was called on what looked like a clean block by Bruce Thorton with 1.7 seconds left. Minnesota made one of two free throws to pretty much seal the deal.

With the loss, Ohio State falls to 10-6 overall and 2-3 in Big Ten play. Things are definitely going in the wrong direction after three-straight losses.
