The 2024 recruit class is still about 8 months from being able to officially sign with their schools, but that isn’t stopping Ohio State commit Ian Moore and Michigan commit Ben Roebuck from starting their rivalry early.
On Tuesday, On3’s Hayes Fawcett posed a question on Twitter asking which school had the better offensive line recruiting class. It’s an interesting question as both of them have four current commits, three 4-stars, and one 3-star.
Plenty of people chimed in, but it was Moore’s back-and-forth with Roebuck which really made waves. The future Buckeye didn’t get an offer from Michigan, same with Roebuck and Ohio State. Check out their back-and-forth below.
The post that started it
As of now, Michigan & Ohio State hold arguably the best OL classes, with 4 commitments each.
Which OL group are you taking?🤔
Ohio State:
-4-Star IOL Ian Moore
-4-Star OT Deontae Armstrong
-4-Star OT Devontae Armstrong
-3-Star IOL Marc NaveOR
Michigan:
-4-Star OT Andrew…— Hayes Fawcett (@Hayesfawcett3) April 19, 2023
Great conversation starter
It really is a great question, both have quality players committed and with the same exact numbers too.
Moore response to Fawcett’s tweet
Cmon now. Hate to start beef but two of those dudes are salty that they didn’t get OSU offers and the other two just didn’t get them. I’ve been to camps with everybody on that list except Marc (Marc’s a dog though) and the Blake kid and I can tell you the Bucks are on top https://t.co/U4cwtWy081

The beginning
Have to stick up for your guys, with no mention of the other class’s players.
Roebuck’s responds
Always comes down to not having that offer. Michigan’s got the better offensive line and better coaches. Seems like I wasn’t missing out on much… Go blue〽️ https://t.co/FwISSFoutN

The Ohioan without an offers response
One man’s trash is another’s treasure….
Moore ends it

Ends it
Yes, there was another tweet by Roebuck, but it was a copy and paste of what Moore said and by that time, the argument was over. It was fun to see two commits going after each other even before they arrive on campus and just fuels the fire between the two schools.
