The final US LBM Coaches Poll was released on Tuesday, one day after Ohio State took home the College Football Playoff national championship. And, to nobody’s surprise, the Buckeyes finished atop the rankings, their first time appearing at No. 1 in the poll all year.
All that remained was to find out the pecking order of the remaining teams. Behind Ohio State and rounding out the top ten were Notre Dame (2), Texas (3), Oregon (4), Penn State (5), Georgia (6), Arizona State (7), Tennessee (8), Boise State (9), and Indiana (10).
When look at the rankings, it’s quite amazing the run Ohio State had. The Buckeyes beat the No. 8, No. 4, No. 3, and No. 2 teams during the CFP run, and also took down the No. 5 and No. 10 team during the season.
