A high-risk missing person, whose disappearance sparked a coastguard search near Ogmore, has been found on land.
Barry Coastguard, along with crews from Porthcawl and Llantwit Major were scrambled to look for the high-risk individual on Monday night.
However, as the teams arrived at the scene the person was found by police on land and the crews returned to their respective stations.
Barry Coastguard said on Twitter at 10.35pm on Monday evening: “Incident. 01/02/22. At 20.47hrs.
“Our Team with Llantwit major CRT and Porthcawl CRT, were tasked to a Search for a High risk missing person near Ogmore.
“As Teams arrived on scene, the person was located by Police in land.
“All Teams were then able to return to station.”
The coastguard crews' actions drew thanks from police, with South wales Police Vale fo Glamorgan saying on Twitter: “Thanks for your response #Team4Barry.”
