As the fire in eastern Los Angeles County continues to burn, officials are urging the public to stay away from the affected area to allow emergency personnel to focus on saving homes and containing the blaze.

During a news conference on Wednesday, LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger emphasized the importance of keeping non-residents out of the area. She stated, 'Please, please, please, if you don’t need to be in the area, we don’t need you in the area. These are fires that are actively taking place as we speak, and there were many people that don’t live in the area that just wanted to go up and take a look.'

Barger also issued a stern warning to potential looters, stating that the county would not tolerate any criminal activity in the fire-affected regions. She said, 'The full weight of the county will come down on you' to deter any unlawful behavior.

The ongoing fire in eastern Los Angeles County has prompted a large-scale response from emergency services, including firefighters, law enforcement, and other first responders. The priority remains on protecting lives, homes, and infrastructure in the area.

Authorities are continuously monitoring the situation and providing updates to residents to ensure their safety. Evacuation orders and road closures may be implemented as needed to safeguard the public and facilitate firefighting efforts.

As the community bands together to support those affected by the fire, officials are urging everyone to follow evacuation orders, stay informed through official channels, and refrain from interfering with emergency operations. The cooperation of the public is crucial in ensuring a swift and effective response to the ongoing wildfire.
