The Raiders have a lot of issues on offense right now. They are averaging just 16.8 points per game, but the offensive line is one unit that can’t be blamed.
While they haven’t done a fantastic job creating big holes in the run game, they’ve held up well in pass protection for most of the year. According to Pro Football Focus, they did not allow a single QB hit in Week 12 against the Chiefs:
The Raiders’ offensive line kept rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell clean and did not allow a single sack or quarterback hit against the Chiefs. The unit gave up six quarterback hurries on 35 dropbacks and finished Week 12 with the fourth-highest pass-blocking efficiency rating in the NFL.
The Raiders have gotten fantastic play out of Greg Van Roten this year and that has helped solidify the offensive line. Jermaine Eleumunor and Thayer Munford have both looked good at right tackle and Dylan Parham has made a leap in Year 2.
If the Raiders can figure out their quarterback situation moving forward, they have the foundation to have a pretty good offense. There aren’t many teams in the league with a better offensive line than the Raiders right now.
