'Off the scale' - Robbie Savage makes blunt Liverpool prediction and 'incredible' Jurgen Klopp claim

Former Premier League star Robbie Savage has made several claims about Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds are currently preparing for their final Premier League match of the season, which sees them take on Wolves at Anfield. Liverpool are one point behind Manchester City in the league table, as they face Aston Villa at home.

Liverpool have already won two major trophies this season with triumphs in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. Next week will also see the Reds take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final, with an unprecedented quadruple still on the cards if Liverpool leapfrog City in the league.

Reflecting on Liverpool’s season as a whole, Savage says that the Reds are among the best teams in English football history. The former Premier League midfielder also went on to make an “off the scale” claim about Klopp and his team.

“One of the best teams we’ve ever seen assembled in English football – and it still may not be enough for them to win the title,” wrote Savage in The Mirror .

“The way Jurgen Klopp has sustained the pursuit of four trophies has been incredible, and at times Mo Salah has looked the best player in the world.

“Under any circumstances, Klopp gets an A grade – if he wins the Champions League again next weekend, it’s off the scale.”

Savage went on to give his views on Man City's season, including a prediction of where the league title will end up.

"To win the Premier League over a 38-game course is harder, in my book, than winning the European Cup," he wrote.

"Although Pep Guardiola’s season may be tinged with disappointment after that traumatic Champions League semi-final defeat in Madrid, and the holy grail continues to evade him at the Etihad, we must celebrate City as a wonderful team.

"I expect them to win a fourth title in five years, which speaks volumes for their domination of English football under Pep."
