AN OFF-duty police officer attached to a specialist command is facing charges over an alleged domestic violence-related attack, resisting arrest and assaulting police.
Police say that when two police officers arrived at a home in Horseshoe Bend, near Maitland, they were tackled to the ground and assaulted by Senior Constable Jarrod Ashley Hollier.

One constable suffered minor facial injuries while the leading senior constable sustained a knee requiring hospital treatment, police say.
The 29-year-old off-duty officer resisted arrest, but was taken into custody a short time later and taken to Maitland police station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV), stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (DV), two counts of assault police officer in execution of duty cause actual bodily harm and hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty.
